11 German Lidded Beer Stein Stoneware Tavern Antique

You are looking at an antique stoneware german lidded beer stein with a tavern scene on one side and a message on the other side. The saying translates to approximately if you love wine women and song, you wlil live happy and long. The stoneware stein is in gerat condition with excellent detail.

hTe only mark is the number 39 on the bottom. There is an area where the handle meets the stein that it looks like the glaze may have separated in firing sa shown in the last photo, the mark seems to be in the glaze and not a crack in the stoneware. The inside is clean with a small amount of crazing. The stein is heavy at 3 3/4 pounds unboxed and stands 11 inches tall to the top of the lid. Please email ayn questions.
